Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Site Management
- Execute civil construction works including foundations, RCC structures, sheds, roads, drainage systems, tanks, and utility buildings.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors for civil works at plant and project sites.
- Ensure work execution as per approved drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate with project, mechanical, electrical, and process teams for smooth execution.
2. Maintenance & Repair Works
- Handle routine and breakdown maintenance of plant civil structures.
- Plan preventive maintenance for buildings, pavements, drains, cooling towers, and other civil assets.
- Attend emergency civil repair works during shutdowns or plant breakdowns.
3. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety norms, factory rules, and chemical plant safety standards.
- Implement quality control measures as per IS codes and company standards.
- Maintain proper documentation related to safety permits, work completion, and inspections.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements under Factory Act and local regulations.
4. Vendor & Contractor Management
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and work estimates.
- Evaluate contractor bills, measurements, and certifications.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure cost control.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily progress reports, material consumption records, and site registers.
- Prepare project status updates and completion reports.
- Support audits and inspections related to civil infrastructure.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of RCC design, industrial flooring, foundations, and chemical-resistant construction.
- Familiarity with IS codes, safety norms, and industrial construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and layouts.
- Good coordination, supervision, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred).
Experience Requirement
3 to 4 years of relevant experience in civil works within a chemical plant, refinery, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environment.
