Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse & Packing Operations
- Supervise day-to-day packing operations for finished goods (drums, bags, barrels, IBCs, cartons, etc.).
- Ensure correct packing, labeling, sealing, and palletizing as per product specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices for material storage and dispatch.
- Coordinate with production, QC, and dispatch teams for smooth packing operations.
2. Safety, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure strict compliance with chemical handling safety norms, MSDS, PPE usage, and statutory guidelines.
- Follow DG, hazardous material, and environmental regulations applicable to chemical warehousing.
- Ensure packing materials comply with quality and regulatory standards.
- Handle and report spills, leakages, or deviations immediately as per SOP.
3. Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of packing, stock movement, and inventory levels.
- Ensure proper documentation including packing lists, batch records, COA coordination, gate passes, and dispatch documents.
- Support internal and external audits related to warehouse and packing activities.
- Manpower & Contractor Management
- Supervise warehouse operators, packing staff, and contract labor.
- Allocate manpower effectively to meet daily production and dispatch targets.
- Ensure discipline, training, and adherence to SOPs by warehouse staff.
4. Dispatch & Coordination
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement and dispatch planning.
- Ensure safe loading/unloading of materials and finished goods.
- Monitor turnaround time and ensure timely customer deliveries.
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of chemical packing standards and warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling and safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of inventory control systems and MS Excel (ERP exposure preferred).
- Strong supervisory, coordination, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and compliance-driven approach.
Experience Requirement
- 3 to 4 years of experience in warehouse packing operations within a chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial manufacturing environment.
